ACHLA Designs

ACHLA Designs emphasizes unique wrought iron furnishings and accessories for the home and garden. ACHLA has been creating wrought iron furnishings for the home and garden since 1994.

Inspired by centuries-old traditional European ironwork, all of ACHLA Designs' iron pieces are handcrafted by the traditional hammer and anvil method. Each piece is individually handforged and hand welded to exacting specifications and designed with an innovative "snap-on" method of construction, eliminating the need for screws or other hardware. Items range from small hooks and brackets to large pavilions and arbors.

Achla also offers birdbaths, birding & garden pole systems, trellises and garden statues made of hand-cast aluminum, cast iron or other materials. In 2004, ACHLA Designs introduced the Williamsburg Collection, offering Colonial reproductions and new designs inspired by 17th and 18th century ironwork.

Most of ACHLA's products are crafted in India.

Achla Designs is a division of Minuteman International Co., which has been supplying fireplace, stove and hearth accessories since 1977. It is owned by Ashok Hingorany and his wife Achla Bahl Madan with Bob Miller as president.
